palm springs, ca
The Parker Palm Springs is a staple to stay at- it’s always great. With multiple pools, beautiful grounds and a super instagram-able lemonade stand, what’s not to love? I always find staying here relaxing and stress-free. Tip: order a frozen lemonade + chips and guac when you’re laying out by the pool.
On my most recent trip to PS, my family and I rented an Airbnb, which was a first for all of us. It ended up being perfect- the house was modern and spacious, the yard had a gorgeous pool and views of the mountains. We brought our energetic golden retriever, so having a roomy yard was essential, and he loved it. I would go back again in a heartbeat.
The breakfast at Cheeky’s in town is next level. I always try to go here, and while there’s always a wait, it’s so worth it! The menu is always changing, but it’s always SO good. I love the huevos rancheros, a bloody Mary, and their special tater tots on the side.
For casual Mexican eats, try Las Casuelas. It’s a really fun, outgoing atmosphere- great for a weekend night. There’s live music and a huge bar in the middle of the restaurant.
If you’re in the mood for something nicer for dinner, go to Workshop. The restaurant itself is so cute and there’s a beautiful outdoor dining area (especially cute if you’re on a date). The cocktails are delicious and unique, and the food is farm-to-table - everything is seasonal and amazing. I loved the wood-fired pizza and the cauliflower steak.
